Phoenix --> rebirth --> change

Hi all,

Here's a lil insight over a phoenix bird. Phoenix as we all know is a legendary Arabian bird said to periodically burn itself to death and emerge from the ashes as a new phoenix. It is believed to have ability to renew itself every 500 years. It amazes me how a bird can have a life span of 500 years and is reborn from its ashes. When I sat for a while in the amazement I found it similar to many facets of life.
            In our life we face so many tough times. Sometimes we face those challenges thrown on us by life and sometimes we just hide in our cocoon. As the times passes the troubling situation changes for good or bad that depends on how we take it. If we still sit and mourn about it then we feel so weak inside and start blaming situations and people. We start criticizing life and God for bringing such a problem situation to us. Now what happens if we bring in a lil shift in our approach towards life and problem we are facing. We see the tough situation as an opportunity to so something good. How about we feel excited about it and say to self " What an opportunity to grow and learn" ? This shift in thoughts and approach will change the way we see the situation and will fill us with new hope and courage to face it head on. This way we start to enjoy the tough times and learn a lot which helps us going forward. As the time passes we are completely a new person with lots of courage to face similar situations and have grown in our own way. At the end we are reborn with new energy and hopes to live life. Like Phoenix we are reborn out of a tough time.
          I hope there is something we can learn from the Phoenix as we live our life.

  1. Nice thought! It's a good way of seeing things - Problems are not really problems if you take them up as Challenges or even better as Opportunities. Take up the opportunity & reinvent yourself each time; this way you can only grow better from here! :)

  2. Nicely written. I liked the way you expressed your thoughts regarding the problems and acceptance of the problem. But as I am a true good friend of yours I have right to give you genuine comment. So, this write up looks incomplete, I personally felt that it will move and create the desire to read more and than it will give a climax and than in a shuttle way it will come to an end. You could have attached some of your personal experiences to make it more interactive. I have lots of expectation from you. Keep writing, keep improving.
