Forgotten ways of life ....

                                              Picking up speed
                                            Running out of time
                                            Going head to head
                                              It's the way of life
                                             You gotta fall down
                                                   Eat ground
And to get back up again
                                                Let's Beyblade!
                                                 Spinning it out
                                           At the speed of sound
                                                 Gotta rip it up
                                            Now the bet is down
                                           The team with the bang
Our gang is the one who's gonna win
                                                        ………..

Very inspiring lines to read and listen. These are the lyrics of my favorite cartoon's title track. As a kid all of us watched cartoons, read comics, liked some character and hated some. We never realized why we liked some character and hated others. We used to imitate them and play, we were so happy, used to smile a lot. We took inspiration from the characters we liked. We wanted to become like them, dress like them, talk like them. There was a lot of innocence embedded in us and we were true to self. While growing up we loose our innocence and became out of touch with our basic nature which is very loving and free. We even forgot to laugh even though we knew laughing is the best stress buster. We then ask others that we are stressed what should we do? If we sit quite for sometime then with self we can get answers of all such questions without looking for help from others.

Watching cartoon is fun way to learn. Even their title track and other song are equally inspiring. I want to share few I learned from cartoon like staying focused towards our goal. Being true to self and accept who we are with all shortcoming. Taking out time for self talk which provides us with immense inner strength which we require to stay focused towards our goals and help us come up with new ways to go forward with what we want to do. It inspires to live life with risks, innovation and stand for self. Not to forget they are good entertainment source which brings a smile to our face releasing all stress and making us feel light. We should never let the child within us die.

Would like to know what are your views…

Keep Smiling :)

Change is the only constant

Change is a transformation, losing one’s original nature. The process of conversion can be slow or fast depending upon who or what is under going it. For eg. If a we see ice it converts into water and water changes from liquid to water vapour in some amount depending upon the heat supplied for it to change. Similarly in living beings like caterpillar we see that caterpillar converts to butterfly in a particular time, but the time for this conversion is more than what is required by water to turn into water vapour. Likewise in humans also we see an infant growing into a teenager and consequently changing into adult. So we see everything around us varying from its innate state and we take reference as the time we started to observe it. Any variation in outer appearance is easily recognized by us and acknowledged.
Constant is something unvarying in nature, something which is forever, is fact or information that will always remain true. We say position of a particular star is fixed in universe in spite of the fact we know the universe is expanding and all stars are moving in a particular orbit. In such a case how can we say star is stationary? In such a case we are taking a reference and saying that stars position is same with respect to our position in universe and hence have taken it as fixed. It is just the difference in perception that we have of still and moving. Doppler’s effect as we say it.

Everything in this universe is moving and undergoing some kind of deviation from the original. The difference may be very minor for us to observe or a major one. We according to our convenience have manipulated the facts. The reality is that everything is undergoing some variation weather we see it or not. Hence the concept of change remains true for everything living or non-living and this very fact cannot be altered. Hence we can say “Change is the only constant”.

Secret of Happiness

Happiness is a state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Everyone seeks happiness but,  most of us define happiness based on some conditions. The big question is how to achieve happiness? What can we do to feel the happiness we crave for? I feel happiness is a state of mind that can be achieved by spreading joy and being in the present moment.
A very important aspect of happiness is, if we see people around us happy and some action of ours is the cause of their happiness, we will feel joyous. As an example, if we helped our mom with some work like taking her to market to buy grocery or helped her in household work, In that case she will be happy because we helped her with her work and in return we will experience contentment knowing we were the reason for her smile. Hence helping someone may it be at home, school, workplace, while traveling, anywhere we find someone in need of our help; the proactive action of ours will make us glad that we did something worthy for someone.
Being in the present is very important to feel the bliss. This is apparent from the fact that past and future always make us worried. If we think about the past we end up living the past again and if we think about the future we get perturbed by endless possibilities of future. So live in the present moment and enjoy every moment knowing that the present moment cannot be repeated like the repeat telecast of some show.
Helpful gestures by us and being in the present moment can fill us with immense pleasure so that we can stay happy forever.

Stay happy, keep smiling. :-)

Mirage of Happiness

Happiness is a state of mind. In this state, mind gets positive thoughts as inputs and the things we do get us the result what we wanted. Next question that comes to our mind is how to achieve happiness.. well happiness cannot be achieved. It is not a commodity that we can buy but it is just what we feel. It is we who choose how our day, our life and things around us are going to be. We start believing in whatever we say. For instance, if in the morning we wake up thinking that today is a bright sunny day and that it is a good day to start then as the day proceeds we will see things in same light.

The perception of true happiness comes from our mind. But our Mind is very playful.

It shows us what we wanna see. Most people who fast, are able to do so with the help of their will power. They exhibit such a control over their minds that they can so throughout the day without having any food and surprisingly that day they feel more energetic all done just by visualizing that they are content. A slight change in the perception makes all the difference as the day of fast is same as any other day of week. Similarly if we simply visualize a nice place and think we are spending time there and enjoying doing things we want to without any boundations, this visualiztion can free us from the stress and fatigue of the that day. Mind is very powerful and hence should be used aright. Mind is very untrained hence its upto us to train it for our betterment and utilise its full potential. It can be programmed as per our needs, it just depends upon the thoughts we provide it to feed upon. If you feed mind with something which is positive then with theory of probability the chances are more that particular situation will go be in our favor. But not to forget its vice versa is also true...

Happiness-a-Mindgame

Hi,

This is Guddu. I am writing this blog to discover different aspects of happiness, mind and their inter-connection. I shall be doing some introspection on these topics in various situations of life as I have experienced and also invite the readers to share their experiences on how people behave and how it affects their state of mind and their surroundings. What makes people behave in a particular manner? How far does persons’ own character and will power support them? I invite you to share your feelings and experiences about the writing. At the very onset, I would like to clarify that this is not an Agony Aunt session. After all this blog is all about happiness…

I hope that this blog becomes a source of happiness with invoking your thoughts on some very common experiences we all had sometime…
 Happy reading :)
